How Does a Free Case Review Actually Work?
Wondering what happens when you request a free case review? Here's a plain-English walkthrough of the process, start to finish.
The phrase 'free case review' gets used a lot, but it's rarely explained. Here's what actually happens, step by step, so you know what to expect before you pick up the phone or fill out a form.
Step one: you describe what happened
You'll answer a few plain-English questions — what happened, when, and what kind of outcome you're hoping for. There's no legal jargon required; describe it the way you'd tell a friend.
Step two: it gets matched to the right practice area
Based on what you describe, your situation gets routed toward the relevant practice area — personal injury, family law, employment, and so on — so you're not wasting time talking to the wrong kind of attorney.
Step three: a real conversation, not a sales pitch
A member of our staff, or an independent attorney in the relevant practice area, follows up to talk through your situation, answer initial questions, and explain what your realistic options look like.
Step four: you decide what's next
There's no obligation to move forward. Some people just want clarity; others choose to retain an attorney afterward. Either outcome is completely fine — the review itself is free either way.
Not sure which type of lawyer you need?
Tell us what happened in plain English — a member of our staff can point you to the right practice area and, if you'd like, connect you with an independent attorney.
